I was in a bad mood, and tried to draw something cute to cheer up. I started doodling, and lo and behold, Feliciano and Ludwig pop up. Seriously, I never really got into GerIta until I read 's "Auf Weidersehen, Sweetheart," and then I stayed up until 4 AM to finish it, tearing up like a little baby the whole time.
So, though not taken directly from the fic - Auf Ihr Wohl, !
A/N: I showed this to my husband, who blinked at it a few times, and said "That's the face you make at me." I asked, "Oh, you mean when I hug you?" and he responded "No - Germany's expression. That's the face you make at me." So you know it's love, I guess!
Ciao bella? you should say Ciao bello if you meant a boy or Ciao belli if you meant many boys or Ciao belle if you meant many girls. but I think you meant Italy said that to Germany so you should put "bello" I just started learning Italian and I'm a grammar nazi already...
Actually, it's the title of a song [link] that's used as a plot device in the fanfic I mentioned in the description. (They actually make a joke in-story about the bello/bella problem when applying it to Italy.)
this is an excellent picture! You did an amazing job! ... but im here to give helpful and friendly critisizm, aren;t i? Yeah. Aside from the excellency of this picture, germany's face looks just A BIT ... weird... I think its mainly the eyes, that's what's throwing me off. the style is amazing, the hair is drawn good, but yet another small flaw. While the shading is, yes, really good (and much better than mine... heh...) , i think some is off. like, on italy's forehead, there is a distinct line of thick shading and THEN gradual shading after that distinct line. really, there's a line. i see nothing else wrong with it that i can see! Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm still working on shading, it's one of my (many) shortfalls. I see what you mean about the forehead - I've been working on a laptop, and the angle of the screen seems to make a big difference in whether I see this stuff (and how distinctly) when I'm working. Ugh, I need a better monitor... orz
